NEW WORDS
(NOT in the current Dictionary or CD)
In any orthography there is an ongoing need to establish new words and their spelling for the growth of a language.
In our language of Shm'algyack, as with most Native American languages, the extent to which the language grew was related to new and developing cultures.
In our desire to keep up with the times we take this responsibility very serious.
And, in keeping with our traditions we always attempt to reflect the literal meanings to any new word or phrase.
For example: We all recognize and accept that Um-shewa means whiteman, however, the literal translation means "bleached driftwood."

Watch for Updates!

We are currently working on an NEW & UPDATED dictionary that will incorporate all of the existing dictionaries into a complete and comprehensive one.

The italics in the Shm'algyack is the same as an underline.
