MOKEE has enlisted the talents of Master Carver "Bill Helin" of Vancouver Island in beautiful British Columbia. Bill is a Tsm'shian from the Prince Rupert country and has spent years designing, carving and creating everything from canoes to jewerly. Not only is he renowned internationally for his work in all of these areas, but he continues to pursue new and interesting endeavors that, as he says, "Brings the culture alive and keeps it breathing."

His latest project (that has been going on for many years) is the creation of story books about Raven and his creation of the "Moakshgm Ol" or Spirit Bear of the British Columbia Coast.

The Kermode Bear has long been a part of the Native lore and with the pending animated movie about "Mokee", which Bill is a part of, the stories are beginning to take a life of their own.

Like his carvings, drawings and jewerly all of the designs and illustrations are originals by Bill.
